I have many, many, many sketchbooks. The first ones are from highschool, they were tiny and quite ugly. Now I have 2 shelves of them. Some are form travel. Some are from work, from studies, from vacations. All my life is compressed there.

Michelle is bored

When I go with my daughter to restaurants or cafe, she is easily getting bored before the food arrives.

how did it start

http://lenarevenko.com/blog/files/03-birds.jpg
My love for miniature have started from these two paintings. I bought them in Rajasthan, have no idea who the artist is. I wanted to buy many pictures, but they were not cheap.

http://lenarevenko.com/blog/files/03-birds2.jpg When you travel as a backpacker, you know that buying something means less places to travel, worse hostel, and also place and weight in your luggage. So I’ve decided «I can draw miniatures for myself»…

so quiet

http://lenarevenko.com/blog/files/02-midbar.jpg
This is my favorite place in Israel — Judian Desert (midbar yehuda). It looks feminine, because of the soft curves of the hills and mountains. And it’s always so quiet. But although it’s only about one an a half hour drive from Tel Aviv, I visit there so rare… But then again, my grandma lives in a 15 minutes walking distance from me, and I visit her once a month. It’s because of that tricky path of habits and mechanical order of everyday actions, which is so hard to break sometimes.
