November 20, 2011 / 00:08 opening of «Butterflies in the Stomach»![]() Today it was an opening of the group exhibition «Butterflies in the Stomach» in Holon. Thanks for everybody who came! For those who could not make it, I really recommend you to have a look there, and not only because of my works :) I should admit that I enjoyed the opening much more than expected. First, many people have come, and among them my friends ![]() Even children enjoy the exhibition ![]() Second, as my friend Marina said, «It wasn’t boring» — the variety of works was interesting, very different with materials and formats, but yet connected by a concept: they all more or less deal with readymade or recycling. Some of the works that catched my eye: ![]() and there have been many more, I just forgot to take a photo! I even liked how my own works look on the wall (sometimes when there is not enough light, my works look sad and gloomy) ![]() Then I get a phone call, that my family is on the way to the opening, including my mom (for the first time ever)! What a nice surprize. And what a pity the gallery is already closing :) They come at the last moment, and not really bothered that everybody else has gone. ![]() Later, Michelle and me were reading the curator’s word (Yehudit Mazkel). about the exhibition and artists. It was interesting. ![]() p.s. And the design of the exhibition booklet is very beautiful — who made it? © 2007—2019 Lena Revenko |
